The McMorris brothers continue to amaze.
Despite the fear and panic that would come with a medical evacuation for Mark McMorris in the backcountry of B.C., they’re able to overcome and look at the bright side.
Broken bones, surgeries, a ruptured spleen and potentially missing the Olympics isn’t fazing the McMorris brothers. When Craig called yesterday to bring us up to date, he responded with a hearty hello and asked how I was doing.
He then detailed the horrendous accident suffered by his little brother but, in all of that, was that positive attitude that allows them to be the charismatic, smiling characters the snowboard community adores.
Mark was laying in the snow, in the most pain he’s ever experienced, talking about how he’s OK. When he broke his femur, he was quick to ask how fast he can get back on his snowboard.
Craig saw his brother nearly die and after the surgeries and anxiety, the big brother was quick to turn the story into one of hope and ambition.
These two are easy to cheer for as we cheer for a speedy recovery for Mark.
