Regina city crews are cleaning up after an oil spill Sunday afternoon.
Personnel responded after engine oil leaked from a tank owned by a local business on April 2.
The city did not disclose the location of the leak in a news release on the matter Monday.
While the city said around 1,000 litres of oil spilled out, the amount that went into a nearby storm sewer system is unknown.
As of 5 p.m. Monday, Regina Fire and Protective Services officials, along with Environment Services, remain on scene as the cleanup continues.
They’re also investigating the nature of the spill.
The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment and Environment Canada are working with the city.
