Two teenage boys have been arrested after an armed robbery at a convenience store in Regina.
Police said a masked man entered a convenience store on the 500 block of Albert Street around 5 a.m. Wednesday, pointed a gun at the cashier, demanded items and fled in a vehicle.
An investigation led police to a home on the 200 block of Trudelle Crescent, where two teenage boys were arrested.
A search of one of the suspects during the arrest revealed a knife, items believed to be merchandise taken from the store and vehicle keys.
A search warrant was obtained to search the home and the vehicle corresponding with the keys found on the suspect.
An investigation determined the vehicle was taken without the consent of the owner.
The search revealed items alleged to be involved in the robbery including the supposed firearm, which was identified as a paintball gun. Items allegedly stolen from the store were also recovered.
Two 15-year-old boys are facing multiple charges, including armed robbery.
One of the teens has also been charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
The two boys cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Both appeared in youth court Thursday morning.
