Berkly Catton, Brayden Yager, Caden Price and Tanner Howe were all named.
Cuts were made to Regina Catholic Schools as result of the provincial budget.
The division is out by $1.5 million because of the reduction to K-12 funding.
But the focus is to reduce spending within the head office rather than impact the classroom.
“We’ve eliminated one superintendent and one speech and language pathologist,” explained Board Chair Donna Ziegler on the 980 CJME Morning Show. “In the area of consultants, coordinators and coaches, reducing some of their time or eliminating some.”
The division is in a difficult position because funding is being reduced but costs are rising. Three new joint-use schools open in September increasing enrolment by 370 students.
“No matter if it is in transportation, administration, board of governance, eventually, somehow that will end up impacting the classroom,” Ziegler argued.
So far kindergarten and busing remain the same for the 2017-18 school year, unlike Regina Public Schools which has already announced changes.
The board and administration must complete its budget by June 30 and promises to communicate with parents as further budget decisions are made.
