This is the one weekend every year when I want it to snow in Saskatchewan. Blizzard. Snowstorm. Rain. Wind. Anything. Bring it on!
It’s the Masters weekend. If the weather is horrible in our province, there’s no reason to go outside. There’s no reason to leave the couch for four days.
As sports fans, golf fans, millions of us get mesmerized every April for the Masters golf tournament. It’s the start of the golf season, shown in glorious, floral colours and unbelievable greenery on television. The opening round is scheduled for today. We’ll be paying close attention through four rounds this weekend as Rory, Jason, Jordan and DJ (if he’s healthy) vie for the coveted green jacket.
And we’ll be hunkered down for the final stretch, watching the drama unfold. As everyone knows, the Masters doesn’t start until Amen Corner on Sunday. If you need that explained to you, we’ll talk after this weekend.
