Is Richard Sherman being shopped by the Seattle Seahawks for being outspoken?
I hope not.
He is the most vocal player and the league is often in his crosshairs. His rants include health and safety and hypocrisies from top on down in the NFL. However, he’s never said anything the league saw worthy of a fine or suspension.
He’s also still a pretty good cornerback. That’s what troubles me about his team looking for a trading partner. He’s allegedly a leader on that team and part of the core.
Sherman has his flaws. Sherman can have ill-timed outbursts that turn people off, usually when he feels disrespected.
I’m not a big fan of his ego but you can’t deny his intelligence nor his ability.
I hope the trade talk is more of a GM thinking of dealing an expensive contract while the stock is high and not what some are speculating – that Sherman’s outspoken stance against the league is too much to handle.
If it’s the latter, I know we’ll hear all about it from Richard Sherman.
