A Regina man has been charged after reports of a suspect waving a machete at another person.
Regina police said officers were dispatched to a home on the 700 block of Garnet Street around 7 p.m. Thursday.
Early information indicated there was a man inside waving a machete at another person in the home.
The suspect reportedly left when police arrived, but officers said they were able to obtain a name and description.
Police checked the area and found a man matching the description they were given.
When challenged, police said the man dropped the machete and was arrested without further incident.
A search of the man led to a folding knife being discovered in his pocket.
Roy Steven Fiddler, 32, is facing multiple charges, including carrying a concealed weapon.
Fiddler appeared in court Friday morning.
