A speeding vehicle led officers to methamphetamine, marijuana and a gun, according to Regina police.
Police said a canine officer on patrol in an unmarked car saw a vehicle with two people in it turning south onto Albert Street from Fifth Avenue.
Police said the vehicle began to speed well above the posted speed limit, and the driver allegedly wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. That’s when the officer stopped vehicle near Dewdney Avenue and Albert Street.
According to police, the officer found methamphetamine, marijuana, items indicative of drug trafficking, a 12-gauge shotgun and ammo.
Both occupants – two men – were charged.
Aron Thomas Scott, 32, and Logan Edward Thomas Ross, 29, both of Regina, were charged with several gun-related charges and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Scott and Ross were appeared in Provincial Court in Regina on Monday.
