Phillip Chicoine, 27, is facing 44 more charges of child pornography related to a case which led to international arrests.
Chicoine was already in custody at the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre Tuesday when he was formally arrested and charged Tuesday.
He appeared in court Wednesday morning and is remanded into custody until a bail hearing April 24.
Police said evidence seized during a search in March showed Chicoine was providing others with access to live-streamed child pornography from Romania and the Philippines.
Female suspects alleged to have been aiding Chicoine in Romania have also been arrested, according to an International Child Exploitation unit media released.
The release said authorities in the Philippines are still investigating links to the child abuse ring within their borders.
Chicoine was previously faced 19 charges including counts of possessing, making and distributing child pornography and luring and agreeing to commit a sexual offence against a child.
