Four Sask. players named to Canada world junior hockey championship team

Berkly Catton, Brayden Yager, Caden Price and Tanner Howe were all named.
During this time of the year, the games mean more in the NHL.
The playoffs begin Wednesday, and five Canadian teams are represented this year: the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens.
Many people in Regina are planning on tuning in to the games.
Elvira Castaneda will be cheering on the Oilers as they return to the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
“I’ve loved the Oilers since the mid-80’s, our son, it’s his favourite team, we still cheer for the Oilers and go to their games,” Castaneda said.
Another team returning to the playoffs will be the Maple Leafs, which gives MacKenzie Hubic a reason to tune in this year.
“I’ll tune in, make sure the Leafs are doing alright,” Hubic said.
Brian Sampson is a Canadiens fans, so he’ll be cheering against the Leafs.
“There used to be a sign that said there would be free beer every time the Maple Leafs won and I don’t think they’re going to be handing out any free beer this year.”
But not everyone has hockey on their minds.
“I will be playing video games, that’s what I’ll be doing,” Rebecca Toderian said when asked if she will be watching the games.
