Two weeks away from the start of Roughriders mini-camp, Vince Young has posted an update on his status.
Set to music, Young posted a video on YouTube of his training regiment, featuring him working weights, medicine balls, footballs and doing cardio.
The video starts with clips of his glory days with the Texas Longhorns and fades into clips of media questioning what happened to him at the end of his NFL career.
He provides a voice over throughout the video, ending with the phrase “legends never die.”

The Roughriders announced in March that the former NFL quarterback signed a one-year deal plus an option to play with the Riders.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a comeback — I’d just say it’s an opportunity because the fact is, you know, I love the game of football and it’s kind of hard to sit on the couch and not be able to be out there playing,” he said on March 9 when he signed his contract with the green and white.
Young will join the Riders in Dodgertown for the mini-camp April 25-27. He’s also expected to be at training camp in Saskatoon when it begins around the beginning of June.
Young was picked third overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2006 NFL Draft. He played six seasons with the Titans and the Eagles and has also been a member of the Bills, Packers and Browns.
Young’s thrown for nearly 9,000 career yards with 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions but hasn’t taken a pro snap since 2011.
