RCMP are hoping to identify three suspects in connection to a deadly attack on a restaurant owner in La Ronge Saturday night.
The community is mourning the death of 64-year-old Simon Grant. According to police, Grant was assaulted by masked men after hours at his restaurant, Louisiana’s Bar-B-Que, on April 15.
Police said three people entered the business with a baseball bat and two handguns.
The suspects were reportedly only inside the restaurant for around five minutes. During this time, Grant was assaulted and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
Grant was airlifted to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon where he died from his injuries Monday.
RCMP released information on the three male suspects Wednesday:
- Suspect 1: wearing a black balaclava, black hooded sweatshirt, dark-coloured pants/jeans and carrying a light-coloured baseball bat.
- Suspect 2: wearing a black cap, black scarf, black hooded jacket and black pants with the word “BLACK” written across the front in white letters and white striping on the back lower legs. This suspect was also wearing gloves and carrying a handgun.
