One woman is dead and a man has been taken to hospital following a fiery crash south of Swift Current.
Shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, Swift Current Rural RCMP responded to a collision about 10 kilometres south of Swift Current on Highway 4. Swift Current Rural Fire and EMS were also present.
RCMP reported the collision had occurred between a north-bound pickup truck and a south-bound pickup truck. RCMP said both vehicles had sustained fire damage.
The driver of the north-bound truck, a 25-year-old woman from Blumenort Sask., located 35 km south of Swift Current, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family was notified and her name will not be released.
A 31-year-old man from Swift Current who was in the other vehicle was flown to hospital by STARS with injuries.
Highway 4 has been opened.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
