Shoppers in Regina’s south end have another option available to them.
The Real Canadian Superstore opened its new location at the Golden Mile Shopping Centre Friday.
Store Manager Keith Knoblauch said he was confident shoppers would be impressed with the selection on offer at the new store.
“We’re a one-stop show for everything you need and we have the best fresh departments you’re going to see in a grocery store, especially with our produce section.”
He said the store tries to maintain the lowest prices and added they have a policy where they will meet or beat competitor’s prices.
One of the other programs Knoblauch was proud of was “click and collect” available at the 95,000 square foot store. Shoppers have the ability to place their orders online and pick them up in store. They can place the order on the same day as pick-up or up to two weeks in advance.
“(It’s) excellent for customers who have a fast-paced lifestyle.”
Those who were used to shopping at the Extra Foods in Golden Mile will be seeing some things stay the same.
“We have colleagues coming here that have transferred over from the Extra Foods so people are going to see familiar faces,” Knoblauch said. “They could have that person they see in produce every day and that face is still there for them to talk to.”
Knoblauch said there will be special grand opening sales, with many products available for under $1.
The store is the third Superstore to open up in the city.
