RCMP have arrested a repeat sex offender who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Police arrested Joseph Davis Thursday afternoon on Highway 16 in Langenburg, about 70 kilometres east of Yorkton.
Davis, 46, is a four-time federal offender who once served a four-year sentence for sexual assault. He was under a long-term supervision order at the time of his arrest.
In 2001, he was convicted of assault causing bodily harm and forcible confinement of a sex trade worker he invited to his residence.
In 2007, Davis sexually assaulted a real estate agent in Winnipeg after luring her into his home.
He was arrested Thursday without incident and is in custody.
