A 37-year-old Regina man had a frightening encounter early Sunday morning.
According to police, the man was in a parking lot of a business in the 1700 block of East Dewdney Avenue when another man appeared at his driver’s side window. The suspect reportedly began banging on the window, demanding the keys.
Police said that, according to the victim, the suspect then smashed the car window with a small black axe and reached inside. Police reported the victim was able to push the suspect’s hand away.
The suspect then allegedly left on foot.
Police have described the suspect as a man, five feet eight inches tall, with a thin build and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. His face was apparently covered.
