We are going to learn a lot about the Washington Capitals and Edmonton Oilers tonight.
The Oilers become an unquestioned big boy club with a victory in Anaheim. They’ve fought through controversy and ridiculous calls that went against them to thump Anaheim in Game 6. Game 7 is a different beast, especially on the road in Anaheim against a veteran and experienced Ducks team.
As far as the Capitals go, this will either make or break this current group of Capitals. A loss and it will be the same old story line. Ovechkin and crew can’t get it done and maybe it’s time for a culture change in Washington.
A win, battling back from 3-1 down against the reigning champs, and the conversation shifts back to the pre-playoff hype that this could be their year.
We are in for six hours – or more – of some quality hockey. Now your decision will be pizza or BBQ.
