A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital Wednesday morning after a car drove into a Tim Horton’s restaurant wall.
The incident occurred at the Attridge Drive location around 11:30 a.m. when police said a new driver appeared to accidentally accelerate into the building.
Police noted the vehicle was parked next to the building before driving forward and jumping the curb.
Staff told 650 CKOM the car hit a wall in the seating area, pushing it in and causing extensive damage, while also hitting the 19-year-old.
Police said the young man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 47-year-old man driving the vehicle was issued a ticket for driving without undue care and attention.
