Regina police are investigating the city’s second murder of 2017.
Police received a report of an assault around 7:55 p.m. on Sunday.
When police arrived at the home on the 1400 block of 12th Avenue, they found an injured and unresponsive man.
EMS arrived and determined the man had already died from his injuries.
Police received information a person had entered the home and assaulted the resident with a weapon before leaving the scene.
Officers secured the scene and called in other investigative units.
The victim is a 46-year-old Regina man. Next of kin have yet to be notified.
Police do not have any other details available at this time.
