What to know if attending Mosaic concert

Upwards of 25,000 people are expected to visit new Mosaic Stadium for Regina Rocks Mosaic Saturday night.

For those going, 980 CJME has provided some useful pieces of information to help people’s experience go as hassle-free as possible.

Concert

Gates open at 4 p.m. with Our Lady Peace performing at 6 p.m. and Johnny Reid at 7:30 p.m., each playing for one hour. Headliner Bryan Adams will start at 9 p.m. and perform for two hours. The concert will end at 11 p.m.

Between the main acts, other entertainment will be provided.

Those with tickets can enter through either gates 2, 3 or 4. However, there is no re-entry so once people leave they won’t be allowed back in. Smokers will have a designated area.

Transportation and Parking

Elphinstone Street between Dewdney Avenue and north of Saskatchewan Drive will be closed to traffic from 2 p.m. to midnight.

There will be no public parking at Evraz Place Saturday. Some parking will be available by permit only. Accessible parking can be found west of Confederation Park, by the Fieldhouse and Lawson Aquatic Centre and along 10th Avenue.

Regina transit and paratransit will be free for those who have a ticket to the event. Shuttles will also run from 3:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Southland Mall, Northgate Mall, Victoria Square Mall and Normanview Crossing, along with two downtown locations in Victoria Park and the Delta Hotel. Return shuttles will begin leaving the stadium at 9:30 p.m.

As well, a bike valet service will be set up at the southwest corner of Confederation Park. There, volunteers will help riders store and retrieve bicycles, which are placed in a secure area.

Food and Beverage

A number of local food and beer vendors will be open for customers.

Cash is preferred. There will be a limited number of credit and debit transactions as the point-of-sale system is also being tested. ATMs will be available on site.

Prohibited Items

• A number of items are not allowed into the stadium:
• Alcohol or illegal substances
• Coolers and outside food and beverages (except sealed water up to one litre)
• Opened bottles, cans or glass containers
• Over-sized backpacks, duffel bags or containers
• Mechanically enhanced noisemakers, such as air horns or sirens
• Laser pointers or pens
• Any object deemed unsafe by security, including knives, explosives, etc.
• Offensive or gang-affiliated clothing
• Rods, dowels and hockey sticks
• Signs that obstruct stadium pageantry or signage
• Remote-controlled vehicles, including drones and other aerial vehicles
• Umbrellas
• Selfie sticks
• Any unauthorized advertising
