The Métis Nation of Saskatchewan has a new leader after a long-awaited election on Saturday.
Unofficial results on the MN-S website said Glen Hector McCallum had won the presidency of the group by about 400 votes.
The field for president was wide open as former president Robert Doucette decided not to run for the position again.
McCallum is joined by incumbent vice-president Gerald Morin.
Mary Ann Morin, and Ashley Norton round out the executive for the group, winning the positions of Treasurer and Secretary respectively.
The Métis Nation of Saskatchewan is an advocacy group which works for the rights of the approximately 100,000 Métis people in the province.
