New details are coming out about an apparent shooting in Regina Monday.
While there are still outstanding questions about the firearms offence, police said they have enough evidence of drug trafficking to charge two men.
The incident happened in the morning hours when police received a report of what sounded like gunshots on Fines Drive.
Officers found an injured 24-year-old man at the scene. He was taken to hospital and has since been released.
The investigation – which is still ongoing – appears to indicate it was an outdoor shooting on the 200 block of Fines Drive.
During their work, investigators were led to a residence on the 300 block of Fines Drive.
Police located a man there who was found to be in breach of release conditions and placed under arrest.
After obtaining a search warrant, police searched the home and found items associated with drug trafficking including scales, drug residue, bundles of cash, documents and cellphones.
A second man was also arrested in connection with the drug offences.
