Tisdale RCMP have charged two residents after a man was allegedly assaulted and forcibly confined on Monday.
Police said the victim was involved in an altercation with a man in a home on 100A Street in Tisdale, and then wasn’t allowed to leave the house.
He managed to escape and went to the RCMP detachment to explain what had happened, leading police to the scene where they arrested a man and woman.
A further investigation led police to execute a search warrant under the controlled drugs and substances act. An undisclosed amount of marijuana was discovered in the home.
Richard Syrenne, 34, is charged with forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and production of marijuana.
Ashley Rudiniski, 23, was also charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and production of marijuana.
Both were due to a ppear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Wednesday.
