Predators defenceman P.K. Subban has called it. Nashville will win game three of the Stanley Cup final.
While that is a bold prediction, Subban is right about one thing: This series is not over.
Nashville outplayed Pittsburgh in Game 1 of the series.
Pekka Rinne had an off night in goal for the Preds in Game 2 on Wednesday. Nashville coach Peter Laviolette has the experience and intelligence to correct what has gone wrong.
I still believe that the favoured Penguins are going to win the Stanley Cup. It is a team with championship experience and firepower.
The Penguins can also turn to either Matt Murray or Marc-Andre Fleury should there be some goaltending issues. It’s almost an embarrassment of riches in net.
However, the Predators are sensational on home ice.
Despite Pittsburgh’s unconventional wins in games one and two, I still wouldn’t be surprised to see this series go the full seven games.
