Six people have been arrested after a couple of robberies in Regina on the weekend.
The first call came in just before 11 p.m. Saturday. Police were called to a home on the 1400 block of Athol Street for a weapons call.
Police said when a person in the home answered the door, a group of people with weapons – including a gun – entered the home and stole property before leaving.
Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, police were then called to Rouge Nightclub on the 2400 block of 11th Avenue for another weapons call. Two men and a woman outside the nightclub were reportedly robbed at gunpoint by a group of suspects. Police were not able to find the suspects when searching the area.
Police stopped what they called a suspicious vehicle near Fifth Avenue and Angus Street. Police reportedly found weapons, including bladed weapons and two guns, as well as property from the Athol Street break and enter and the 11th Avenue robbery.
The five men and single woman in the vehicle were arrested without incident. All were charged with three counts of armed robbery and four counts of possession of stolen property.
People in the group also face many other charges, including break and enter and disguise with intent, in addition to several gun-related charges.
All six appeared in court Monday morning.
