The $1.33M rent reduction comes from what the club owed during seasons impacted by the pandemic.
One staff member was injured and an inmate was hospitalized with minor injuries following what the province is calling “a disturbance” at the Regina Correctional Centre.
A government spokesperson said the disturbance Thursday night involved inmates in a security threat group unit.
More than $100,000 in damage took place and the emergency response team was needed to end the disturbance.
The Ministry of Justice said it is believed 13 inmates were involved.
Four inmates have been transferred as a result of the incident.
The injured staff member was treated off-site for a minor injury.
The inmate taken to hospital was returned the same night.
RCMP is investigating and no charges have been laid at this time.
