Regina police are investigating Regina’s third murder of the year. Officers responded to a report of an injured man on Friday night.
According to a release, upon arrival, EMS determined the man’s injuries were life threatening and took 22-year-old Jessie Brandon Moneybird to hospital.
Police sectioned off 12th Avenue from Broad Street to Rose Street around 11:54 p.m. The parking lot adjacent to the section blocked off on 12th Avenue was also closed off by police tape.
Moneybird died in hospital on Saturday. This is the second murder that in took place in Downtown Regina this year.
Regina police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Regina Police Service.
