All the haters of Kevin Durant for jumping ship and joining the Golden State Warriors can swiftly shut their mouths.
Durant is a champion and the only reason people play competitive sports is to win. That’s it, that’s all. Durant made a tough decision to leave Oklahoma City because he wanted a title.
Now he has it.
If you want to criticize the process in the NBA that allows a team with Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thomspon, Andre Iguodala to add Kevin Durant. Sure.
But nobody should hate on Kevin Durant.
It’s happened in every sport with veterans trying to win championships. Ray Bourque comes to mind in the NHL. They’ll do anything to win, even if that means leaving their long-time home.
Who is going to beat Golden State now? That’s going to be interesting. Already there is talk LeBron James is either waiting to build up the Cavs or leave and build up another super team like he did in Miami.
And you can’t blame him for that because it’s going to be next to impossible to beat Golden State as long as Curry, Durant, Green remain under contract.
