Vince Young’s hamstring injury will put fan focus back on the Rider team for the next two months.
That is something that Chris Jones may prefer following the hype that surrounded Young’s arrival in Saskatchewan three months ago.
During Monday’s media availability, Jones said he “could care less about exposure”, and that he would like “a little less exposure” as it pertains to Young being a Roughrider.
Kevin Glenn will have more of an impact on the Riders in 2017 than Young. On January 23rd the Riders sent out a press release saying that Glenn was, for the third time, returning to Saskatchewan. On March 9th the Riders held a huge news conference, with Young and his family in attendance, introducing him as the newest member of the team.
When a CFL team signs a former NFL offensive rookie-of-the-year, there is going to be cross country interest. I’m pretty sure Chris Jones knew that going in.
