A Saskatchewan man accused of uploading child pornography to an online could storage service is facing seven new charges.
William James Winsley, 54, was charged with possessing child pornography after law enforcement searched his home in Eatonia, southwest of Kindersley, on May 30.
At the time, the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit said the investigation was ongoing and there were potentially more victims.
On Wednesday, police said forensic analysis of computer devices seized from Winsley’s home found evidence to support new charges.
On June 13, the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit arrested Winsley at the Provincial Correctional Centre in Saskatoon, where he is currently being held.
The 54-year-old was charged with four counts of luring a child, two counts of making explicit material available to a child and one count of making child pornography.
Winsley appeared in Saskatchewan Provincial Court Wednesday morning, where he was remanded until June 22.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
