An attempted robbery on two seniors and an assault on one man have Regina police searching for a suspect.
It happened in the 2100 block of Prince of Wales Drive Tuesday around 7:12 p.m. near the Best Buy and Winners in the east end.
According to police, the suspect went up to the women, aged 68 and 57, and tried to rob them. One of the women had minor injuries after she fell to the pavement.
While this was happening, officers explained another man who witnessed the altercation confronted the suspect. As the suspect started to leave, he turned back and sprayed the Good Samaritan in the face with bear spray.
Police describe the suspect as white, between five feet ten inches and six feet tall, weighing 160 pounds. He’s thought to have mid-length reddish hair with a reddish-blonde moustache, beard and longer goatee. The suspect was wearing a hat at the time of the incident, along with a navy blue windbreaker, tan pants, black gloves and black sunglasses.
