Celebrating its 40th year, Canada’s Farm Progress Show begins Wednesday through Saturday in Regina.
All week, heavy farm equipment has been moving in and can now be seen dotting the skyline at Evraz Place.
The show has brought together more than 40,000 producers, manufacturers, buyers and industry experts for network opportunities and to showcase what they do.
“It is a very good opportunity to speak to the producers and find out what we need to supply them and what’s changing in the market place and so forth,” said Dwayne Bulizuik, with Gaber Distributors from Roblin, Man.
Many of the 700 exhibitors at this year’s show have something new to show.
“This year at the show we are showcasing a new boom. It is a double fold boom, we are going up to 170 feet, which no one else in the marketplace has been able to do,” Bulizuik explained.
Speakers this year include comedian Rick Mercer and senior agricultural meteorologist Drew Lerner.
The Outstanding Young Farmers program is highlighting the next generation of farmers who are making a difference in their industry.
Canada’s Farm Progress Show is on June 21-23.
