A manslaughter charge has been laid after a man died from a deadly fight.
The investigation began after an injured man was found on 12th Avenue and Rose Street on June 9. The man, later identified as 22-year-old Jessie Brandon Moneybird, was taken to hospital where he later died.
According to police, on June 9, a fight had broken out between two groups of people and it was during that fight that Moneybird was fatally injured. Police said after the fight, a 20-year-old man involved in the fight assaulted and robbed a woman.
Sylas James Moneybird of Regina has been charged with manslaughter and robbery with violence. Police have not said if the two men were related.
He will make his first court appearance on June 26.
