The sun is out and the temperatures are high for Country Thunder Saskatchewan this weekend, meaning people are going to need to find ways to stay cool and hydrated.
980 CJME was out in Craven to find out how people are battling the heat.
While a few said they will be drinking lots of water, it won’t going to be the only beverage consumed.
“Lots of Gatorade and water,” one man said.
“There is water in beer so that’s going to help too,” said another Craven camper.
While some are going to improvise how they stay cool, some have come a little more prepared.
Rob Swaney has been coming to Craven from Brandon, Man., since it went back to strictly country music. He brought a water tank filled with about 100 gallons – about 380 litres – of fresh water for showers and drinking.
Leslie Kusch, Maddy Keller and Lauren Moore brought along a small kiddie pool to keep them and their beverages cool.
“We have champagne floating in our kiddie pool, got to cool it off somehow,” Keller said.
As for one man, he’s going to let his fashion-choices keep him cool.
“Underwear all weekend long, that’s the only thing I’m wearing.”
