An 18-year-old man is facing various charges in connection to a deadly hit and run Tuesday morning.
Around 8:06 a.m., police were called to the 1800 block of Winnipeg Street, where they discovered a 50-year-old Ontario man had been struck and killed.
Later, police located the truck involved in the incident abandoned nearby.
The driver, Thomas Nahbexie, was tracked down using police dogs around 6:37 p.m. Wednesday night. Police say they also discovered property belonging to the victim when they arrested him.
Nahbexie is now facing a number of charges – including failure to stop at the scene of an accident involving death, and theft.
He will make his first appearance in provincial court Friday morning.
