Regina police said a woman was allegedly held against her will and assaulted Tuesday morning on the 2100 block of East Turvey Road.
When police arrived just after 9 a.m., the accused had already left. Later, officers found a 25-year-old man walking with a knife near Ring Road.
The man threatened to hurt himself with the knife he was carrying. The police used a taser to arrest him.
Kelly Baht was charged with assault with a weapon, kidnapping, threatening and possession of a dangerous weapon.
Baht remains in police custody with a tentative court date of July 19, 2017.
This is the second time Regina police have used their taser in less than a week.
