A Saskatchewan Mountie who allegedly pointed a gun at a woman now faces another gun charge.
RCMP have charged Const. Dale Malbeuf of the Morse detachment with one count of possession of a restricted firearm without a registration certificate.
Malbeuf has been suspended with pay since December 2016, when he was arrested by Edmonton police after allegedly pointing a gun at a woman at an Edmonton home.
He was charged with pointing a firearm and careless use of a firearm.
Malbeuf appeared in Swift Current court Wednesday morning on the new charge.
RCMP said his duty status – suspended with pay – remains unchanged. The RCMP Code of Conduct investigation continues.
