Police believe it was a stolen truck that struck and killed a pedestrian during morning traffic in Regina earlier this week.
Police confirmed a 50-year-old Ontario man died in the crash, which happened on the 1800 block of Winnipeg Street Tuesday morning.
According to police, a truck was abandoned on the scene and then was seized by investigators.
A photo of that truck, apparently a commercial vehicle, is circulating on social media. Police said they believe the truck was stolen at the time of the fatal crash.
Police have not yet made an arrest in this case, although Chief Evan Bray said investigators have identified a few potential suspects.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Regina police at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
