It’s good news, bad news when it comes to keeping cool in Regina.
The bad news is the Maple Ridge spray pad will be out of commission for the rest of the summer. This comes after crews found the underground lines were broken and needed repairs.
The good news is the spray pad will be completely upgraded for summer of 2018.
Crews will remove the concrete, pipe work and toys from the spray pad and everything will get replaced. Work is expected to be completed before winter.
While the heat continues, there are a few spray pads near Maple Ridge which include Rosemont Park, the North West Leisure Center and the Rick Hansen Optimist Playground.
