Jamie Nye: Tom Brady will make 40 the new 30

Happy 40th birthday to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Brady is entering rarified air in the NFL heading into his 40s. No quarterback has ever won a Super Bowl at his age, although Brett Favre came close and Warren Moon saw success.

When you look around sports there have definitely been some impressive plus 40 feats.

Nolan Ryan and Randy Johnson did some impressive things in baseball with no hitters and perfect game by Johnson.

George Foreman was a heavyweight boxing champ at 45.

Henry Burris has Grey Cup records at 41.

Jack Nicklaus won the Masters at age 46 but nobody really dominated like they did in their 20s or 30s.

Brady is playing like a 30-year-old but you never know when father time will finally catch up to someone.

But I feel we are about to see Tom do what Tom does and set a new standard for a quarterback or any athlete playing into their 40s.
