Regina Folk Festival is underway in Victoria Park.
The annual event kicked off Thursday night with a celebration of Canadian music.
“The artists really came together to create a very unique show,” said Sandra Butel, artistic director and CEO of the festival.
“We were really happy that people we able to come together and celebrate Canadian music together.”
The music will continue Friday through Sunday as the main headliners take the stage, including Tegan and Sara, and Buffy Sainte-Marie.
Butel encourages people to come down and enjoy the shows.
“Tickets sales are great, we are looking like regular capacity crowds,” Butel said.
“We are certainly looking for people because it is so beautiful out that we will have a lot of walk-ups on site.”
Other acts over the weekend include Lights, The Wolfe and William Prince.
