A Moosomin company has been fined for failing to report an injury which put a worker in hospital to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S).
Hebert Metal Roofing & Exteriors Ltd. pleaded guilty to failing to give notice of an accident where an employee required hospitalization for more than three days.
The incident occurred on Nov. 22, 2015, when a worker was injured at a work site near Regina.
Employers are required to notify OH&S when these type of incidents occur. The notice must contain the names and contact information of the employee and the employer, the date, time and location of the incident, a description of what happened and what the apparent injuries are.
The company was fined $1,500 plus a $600 surcharge in Regina Provincial Court on Aug.9, 2017.
