A Moose Jaw man fled from police twice and is now facing multiple charges after a gun was found in a vehicle.
Around 3 p.m. on Sunday, police tried to stop a vehicle in the 900 block of Athabasca Street East. The driver of the vehicle fled from police at a high speed.
Police were able to identify the driver of the vehicle as a man from Moose Jaw who had several outstanding warrants for his arrest.
On Wednesday, police found the same vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Fourth Avenue Northeast around 12:30 a.m.
Police said officers found the man entering the driver side of the vehicle. Police were able to get to the vehicle before the man could drive away. The man then allegedly fled on foot and was caught by police a short distance away.
Police say a sawed off .22 calibre gun and ammunition in the vehicle during the investigation.
The 23-year-old man was charged with numerous gun offences, flight from police and numerous breach of court orders.
The man remains in custody until he appears in court on Wednesday.
