When people hear that I’m picking the Saskatchewan Roughriders to beat the Edmonton Eskimos in Edmonton, they’re curious as to why.
It seems many in Rider Nation just don’t think the 3-4 Riders can win on the road at Commonwealth against the 7-1 Eskimos. But those records are skewing the perception of these two teams.
The Riders and Eskimos are actually nearly even in every category from passing yards to turnovers to points allowed and points scored but for some reason the Eskimos have had that x-factor, and his name may be Mike Reilly, that has allowed them to jump up to first in the West Division.
But the Riders are no slouches and while the Riders road record and performance has not been great this season, they are getting better in every aspect and the road wins will start to come.
And I believe they do as early as tonight with a 28-25 victory.
