It was two men from Quebec who were killed when a small plane crashed southeast of the Swift Current Regional Airport Thursday night.
RCMP were called around 7:30 p.m.
On Monday, police confirmed a 60-year-old man from Saint-Felix-De-Dalquier, Que., and a 35-year-old man from Saint-Remi, Que. Police did not name the men.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is now investigating.
It said the plane left Nelson, B.C. earlier that day en route to Regina. It stopped in both Pincher Creek, Alta., and Swift Current.
TSB said it had stopped in Swift Current to refuel. Forty-five minutes after stopping, it took off, only to crash shortly after, a mile-and-a-half from the runway.
