That was a truly entertaining weekend!
The Saskatchewan Roughriders put themselves into the contender category with their second straight dominant victory over a West Division opponent. Rider Nation seems like they’re back on the bandwagon.
Conor McGregor proved a fighter won’t embarrass himself against a boxer in the ring. The fight had a decent start with some thinking, could Conor actually win this thing? But to watch the now 50-0 Floyd Mayweather take over the fight and finish him in the 10th rather than going to a decision after 12 that some thought might happen was a great way to spend a Saturday night.
And then Guns N’ Roses and Our Lady Peace was more than I ever expected it would be! What a show.
Oh, and next weekend is the Labour Day Classic against the Bombers, with both teams competitive for the first time since 2014.
This isn’t a bad way to end off the summer months at all!
