A Regina man has been charged with making written child pornography.
According to RCMP, 36-year-old Drew LaPlante was involved in online chat rooms.
The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) became aware of LaPlante’s involvement and began investigating on June 24. LaPlante was identified on Sept. 5 and arrested. RCMP said many digital devices were seized for forensic examination after search warrants were then executed at his workplace and home.
LaPlante was in court in Regina Wednesday morning.
