Former Regina resident Barbara Paetsch-Lewis has hunkered down in her two-storey Pompano Beach, Fla. condo while Hurricane Irma takes its course across the Sunshine State Sunday afternoon.
Since she has hurricane impact windows, Paetsch-Lewis is be able to watch the storm as it happens.
As of 11:32 a.m., Paetsch-Lewis said cell service is poor, but she still has power and is safe. She added that they are “just getting into the thick of things” and the worst of the hurricane is still on its way.
