The Saskatchewan Liberal Party announced their new interim leader on Sunday.
Tara Jijian will take on the role. In a release, the Liberals said she is a community volunteer and is an advocate for many different topics including education, mental health, workplace safety and building safer communities.
Jijian previously ran as a Liberal candidate in last year’s provincial election for the constituency of Regina Coronation Park.
The party will begin preparations for a leadership convention to select their permanent leader sometime next year.
