RCMP are now disclosing what caused a train to stop at a crossing near Pilot Butte Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 3:55 p.m.
Police said a gravel truck hauling two trailers tried to maneuver past the two crossing arms at the railway. The train then collided with the second trailer, causing debris to cover the road.
Police blocked off the area for a few hours so Canadian Pacific Railway police could get the area clear.
No one was injured in the crash.
CP police continue to investigate.
